Blinken’s words on readiness for talks with Russia on Ukraine at odds with US policy — MFa

MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s remarks about willingness to engage in diplomacy with Russia on Ukraine are at odds with the real steps taken by Washington, which is getting increasingly involved in the multifaceted support for the Kiev regime, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement on Saturday.

Zakharova pointed out that the Ukraine-related public messages coming through from the US administration in recent days "combine provocative bellicosity with rambling hints about the possibility of a US-Russian dialogue on the matter."

"Nevertheless, the main thing is the real steps of Americans and their satellites. And they are in stark contrast to the supposedly peaceful rhetoric. The arms supplies to the Vladimir Zelensky regime are on the rise, the number of Western mercenaries and instructors is growing right on the ground, the United States is getting deeper embroiled in the multifaceted support of its clients in Kiev. And this against the backdrop of Zelensky’s insane calls on his masters to conduct a preventive nuclear strike on Russia," Zakharova stressed.
