India: UPSIC to help LLR in nurses' recruitment

KANPUR: Paucity of nurses will settle soon in the Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital and its associated hospitals here. There has been decided to recruit as many as 150 Para-medical staff through outsourcing. The UPSIC will extend its complete support. So far a total of 143 staff nurses have been providing their services in the Hallet and its associated hospitals. Their scarcity sometimes causes a problem to the patients for even taking an injection.

Fresh staffing will solve this persisting problem to a great extent. In the meantime, a revelation regarding fraudulent ways in the availability of blood units to the patients at the LLR Hospital has come.

When the CMS released two units of blood to a needy patient, the Blood Bank staff made him available one unit of blood. When the patient’s attendant complained of this matter he was given one more unit of blood. This has exposed the active role of the agents in the hospital’s blood bank.
