KANPUR: With the surety of inclusion of two new cattle catching vehicle by the Nagar Nigam, the pace of catching the stray animals will increase and the target of catching one hundred cattle will also be fulfilled.
These vehicles were purchased from the amounts sanctioned under different heads.
Dr AK Singh, Incharge, Livestock Department, said that there had been a target of catching as many as 40 stray cattle every day but this would enhance with the addition of new vehicles in the squad.
In view of the strict orders issued by the state government, the Nagar Nigam carried out a drive to catch stray animals in Halsi Road area where 29 cows and 11 bulls were caught on Friday.
