India: 18 UP Board exam centres cancelled

KANPUR:  Acting upon the complaints received from different college managements in the city, the district examination committee has cancelled as many as 18 UP Board examination centres. A total of 64 Higher Secondary & Inter Colleges have approached with objections on the centres fixed at a little long distance from the examinees’ place.

Reacting on this problem, SK Tiwari, district inspector of schools, said that as many as 141 examinations centres for UP Board were being set up in the city. Raising the point of distance, 64 colleges have demanded an immediate change in the examination centres. Disposing of this matter a total of 18 centres has been changed which will soon be declared from the Board.   

The UP Board examinations are scheduled to begin from the first week in the month of February.
