India: KESCO to boost power supply in 4 sub-stations

KANPUR: In continuation of bringing improvements in the city’s power supply system, KESCo has gird up its loins to change outdated breakers in as many as four power sub-stations now.

Giving this information, CSB Ambedkar, KESCO officer said that the divisional officers were constantly approaching the Headquarters for modifying the years’ long old breakers.

Since there was no paucity of this kind of gadget in the store, there was a plan to improve the Sarsaiya Ghat, Jarib Chowki, Hallet & Kalpi Road power sub-stations respectively by changing its rickety breakers.

As we know, a power sub-station requires one single breaker in the 33 KV transformer and three breakers in the 11 KV transformers normally.

In case of damage to 33 KV transformers breaker, the regular power supply disrupts completely while one-third of the power consumers suffer owing to imperfection in the 11 KV transformers.
