KANPUR: The Kanpur Cricket Association (KCA) has formed an arbitration board to sort out cases without the help of any other court of justice. Dinesh Katiyar, spokesperson of KCA said this decision got final approval at the association's executive committee.
The association’s charter allows the right to form such type of body through its executive committee. In case the petitioner does not satisfy with the Board’s decision, there is a way to approach the district court, he added.
Now, neither any player nor any club can directly go to the high court for filing the petition. First, there is provision to approach the executive committee and afterwards the arbitration court. A kind of restriction will now apply on those directly approaching the high court of justice, he maintained.
On inclusion of office-bearers into this body he pointed out that MM Mishra, director, UPCA has been made the KCA representative in the arbitration board while Ehsan Wahidi and Dharmendra Singh were also included into the Board.
