A dalit Christian husband, P Pranay Kumar, has been murdered for marrying a higher caste Hindu girl Amritavarshini. Girl has accused her father and uncle Shravan for the murder of her husband, and said that she was pressurised by the two to break her marriage and terminate the pregnancy.
It is alleged that girl’s father offered Rs 1 crore to get Kumar killed, and paid Rs 15 lack in advance.
14 Sep CCTV footage show Kumar coming out of the hospital with his pregnant wife Amrita when the killer, Subhash Kumar Sharma, attacks him from behind with a sharp object. Kumar died at the spot.
7 arrested include criminals accused of killing an ex-Home Minister of Gujrat, Haren Pandya. Girl’s father, Maruti Rao has also been arrested.
According to Punjab Kesary, Subhash Kumar Sharma was arrested in Samastipur, Bihar. His two accomplice, Abdul Bari and Asgar Ali belong to Nalgonda.
