Kanpur: Head-on collision between truck and Bolero caused death of two and six seriously injured near Afsaria village under Sikandra Police station here on Monday morning. Speeding truck collided with the Bolero stuffed with the people returning from a marriage party. The collision was so fierce as the jeep's body flew into the air.
This accident halted the traffic on the road. On reaching the spot the police anyhow managed to clear the jam after a little later.
According to reports, the marriage party was returning from Mangrol village in Kalpi. The Bolero was carrying the people to Dabrapur under Sandalpur Police station.
As the speeding truck collided head-on near Afsaria village in the morning the jeep's body was badly damaged and its parts flew into.
The driver Umesh SaranTiwari (41yrs) alias Munuwa r/o Rewa Mangalpur died on the spot. The police sent as many as six injured people to Rajpur PHC first and later they were shifted to the district hospital.
Upon knowing about the fierce mishap the relatives reached the hospital to enquire about the well-being of the injured ones.
