MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/: Russia recorded 9,591 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Sunday.
The country’s total cases have reached 22,656,126.
As many as 589 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, down from 1,164 the day before. Number of hospital admissions increased in 9 regions, decreased in 66 regions and in 10 regions the situation has not changed.
Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 1,358 to 3,480,273 in the past day and St. Petersburg’s cases increased by 1,002 to 1,919,705.
Coronavirus recoveries
Russia’s coronavirus recoveries rose by 9,833 to 22,017,612 in the past 24 hours, the crisis center reported. Recoveries increased by 1,221 to 3,285,551 in Moscow and by 1,002 to 1,870,993 in St. Petersburg.
Coronavirus death toll
Russia recorded 31 coronavirus fatalities in the past 24 hours. The total death toll has climbed to 397,312. Moscow reported 7 deaths in the past day. The city’s death toll has reached 48,472. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 fatalities rose by 6 to 37,407.
