India: IIT alumnus inks pact to set up School of medical sciences & technology

Kanpur: An alumni of IIT Kanpur Rakesh Gangwal has not only signed a pact with IIT-K to set up a school of Medical Sciences and Technology on the campus, but also donated a sum of Rs100 crore for the purpose.

He will also soon join the Advisory Board of the institution.

While talking to reporters,  he said that it was a privilege to be associated with such a noble endeavour with my alma mater.

He further appreciated the institute for producing thousands of leaders across various sectors. It is now paving the way in the healthcare sector.

More than ever, healthcare is incorporated with technological advances and this school will accelerate innovation in healthcare, he maintained.

This school will be completed in two phases, as reported.
