India: Jajmau's Nai Chungi remains crowded for buying Iftar items

Kanpur: Evening finds the crowd of those people who accumulate to buy different fruits near the Nai Chungi in Jajmau here. On one side of the road, there remains an ample crowd.

A few sellers arrange their respective carts to sell papaya, watermelon, grapes, bananas, apples and cucumbers even.

The surge of the people starts growing after 5 p.m. As the rates of the fruits have been increased, the bargaining procedure of the customers goes useless.

The sellers do not agree to lower the rate told by them. They seem to make hay of the occasion. Navratri and Ramzan both stand behind the inflationary rates.

The sellers realise that the craving for eating fruits compels the customers to buy them at any rate so they do not mind buying at whatever prices. This reminds us of the proverbial seller's market.

The crowd soon disperses and then the road looks vacant. A sudden surge brings a load on the sellers as they can not be swift in attending to all the customers at the same time.
