India: Three ministers from Kanpur Dehat, no minister from Kanpur Nagar

Kanpur: There are no ministers from Kanpur Nagar district while Kanpur Dehat has got as many as three ministers. This has caused an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the party supporters.

Just opposite to this there is a flurry of discussions among the political circles in Kanpur Nagar district.

Not a single minister from Kanpur has been included in the UP cabinet for the first time. But it is being speculated that eight-time MLA Satish Mahana will get Speaker post in the UP assembly.

Satish Mahana, former Cabinet minister was certain to become a minister, but was dropped from the Cabinet.

In the last Yogi government, four MLAs from Kanpur were made ministers in the cabinet.

The absence of any Kanpur MLAs in the Yogi Cabinet 2.0 has led to heated discussions among political leaders.

Back when both the governments formed in 1991 and 1997 had Kalyan Singh as the UP Chief Minister , Premlata Katiyar and Bal Chandra Mishra from Kanpur had been selected in the Cabinet.

The BJP government was formed for the first time in UP on June 24, 1991.

However, three MLAs from Kanpur Dehat has been included in the new cabinet. These include Rakesh Sachan from Bhognipur, Ajit Pal from Sikandra and Pratibha Shukla from Akbarpur.
