India: No wrong parking at Kanpur Central otherwise face fine

Kanpur: Strict parking rules are going to be enforced at Central station here.

Beware, the riders of vehicles coming to drop the family or for any other work at the station.

They should be alert at least over challan if wrongly parked the vehicle.

If the vehicle is parked at any place on the station premises, there will be an e-challan.

This strictness will come into effect from the ensuing March 25.

Railway's checking staff and RPF jawans will take a photo of the vehicle's number plate from the mobile.

It will later be sent to the traffic control.

People enter the circulating area of the station by four-wheelers.

They sometimes in the name of getting the family members to board the train or in the name of receiving them park the vehicle without putting them in the parking lot.

In such a situation, there is also a problem in the movement of people, vehicles are parked randomly.

There ensues a heated argument if the checking team asked them to remove the vehicles or to put the vehicle in the parking lot, the vehicle owners used to argue with them.

Now the checking team will not have to fight with anyone with e-challan.

Kanpur Central director Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay says that the list of staff of five checking teams has been handed over to him.
