Kanpur: Several students of this city went to study in Ukraine but now they are stuck due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Akshra, a resident of Kanpur who went to study medicine in Ukraine, made it clear that she, along with 100 students from India, are stuck in the college basement.

Another student named Pranjule is also  stuck in Ukraine with Akshara and her brother Aarav. Both are the students of Ukraine's Kharkiv National Medical University.

A large number of Indian students stranded in the country turned up outside the Indian Embassy in Kyiv.

Meanwhile, the embassy organised safe premises nearby and the students were moved there.

With the sudden closure of the airspace and the situation deteriorating with every passing hour, the stranded students are also releasing video messages, seeking immediate help.

Since there is no communication with the embassy, the college administration has asked the students to wait until a further update is given to them.

The stranded students are begging the efficient government to ensure their safe return to India.

Similarly, Akanksha Shukla, who went to study MBBS four years ago, is also stuck in Ukraine. Her parents implored the govt for the safe return of their daughter.

Meanwhile, parents of these students are also worried about the safety of their children and have requested the govt to bring them back safely.

The Indian government has launched a 24-hour helpline to assist Indian students who are badly stuck in Ukraine.
