India’s COVID-19 Tally Rises To 10,031,223 With 26,624 New Cases

NEW DELHI, Dec 20 (NNN-PTI) – India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 10,031,223 today, as 26,624 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours.

According to data, the death toll mounted to 145,477, as 341 more patients died since yesterday morning.

There are still 305,344 active cases in the country, while 9,580,402 people have been discharged from hospitals.

Meanwhile, the federal government has ramped up COVID-19 testing facilities across the country. As many as 161,198,195 tests were conducted till yesterday, out of which 1,107,681 tests were conducted yesterday alone, said the latest data issued by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) today.

Delhi has been one of the most COVID-19 affected places in the country. As many as 1,139 new cases and 32 deaths were registered in the national capital yesterday.

So far 10,251 people have died in the national capital, confirmed Delhi’s health department.
