Kanpur: Well, to be candid, as many as 118 roadways buses have been surrendered owing to low load factor and lesser revenue collection in Kanpur region.
According to the assistant regional manager, Rajesh Singh the passengers are not daring to make the journey through the buses because of corona pandemic.
With no sharp decline in the Coronavirus patients, the fear psychosis pervades deeply among the common people. That's why the increase in revenue does not look practical in a few days.
Sources said that a total of 1400 roadways buses were plying in the region. As many as 200 air-conditioned buses are also included in the list.
The drawback is that revenue collections are not even meeting the expenses on plying the buses. Instructions have been issued to bring a hike in revenue.
The roadways officials are definitely not feeling fair at such an unfavourable condition. But now what is the choice? Not so much before them.
