India: UPMRC MD inspects progress of metro work in Kanpur

Kanpur: Once this city boasted of trams running at selected destinations now gears up for the metro rail.The work on this modern fast transport system continues at a fast pace. 

In this connection, Kumar Keshav, MD, UP Metro Rail Corporation, conducted an  inspection of metro rail sections that were put on priority level. The metro will run on both the lines overhead and underground in this business city.

His important meeting with the engineers went on for considerably long duration here. He expressed his complete satisfaction at the progress of work following his spot inspection of the ongoing construction work. 

Taxing his mind on ways to manage the traffic flow at the time of construction  construction the underground stations in different areas like crowded Bada Chauraha, Naveen Market, Chunniganj and Phool Bagh he directed the trained engineers to finalize the urgent needful planning task at the earliest.

So far the work on as many as 422 piles and 21pillars were reportedly ready on the prerogative corridor stretching between IIT-K and Motijheel park. Another metro rail section on priority project runs between IIT & Nayaganj which was also visited by the Managing Director.
