India: Kanpur youths find Ahmedabad more striking

Kanpur: "How was your visit to Ahmedabad", asked one young trader to his acquaintance. Replying him he mentioned it was too good. But he started comparing Kanpur with that largest city in Gujarat in west-central India.

Those standing around him showed much interest in his words. He noted that the city of Ahmedabad was different from Kanpur city, while narrating the qualities of that city set up during the time of Ahmadshah in the year 1411.

Pointing joyously at the massive expansion of the residential flats there, he asserted that it appealed to me tremendously.

On cross-questioning by the people present on the occasion, he particularly accepted that if we would prefer to move towards Kalyanpur area in Kanpur we would be dazzled by experiencing the planned structures.

Agreeing with his proper or improper points another person told that Kanpur was also an older city as it was established in the year1803. He added that despite being an industrial city it was not developed as it should necessarily be.

The strange point of their conversation was that both the tannery town youths tried to weigh the cities like Ahmedabad and Kanpur from a business point of view.
