KANPUR: The Public Works Department and the Kanpur Development Authority will take on the task of repairing potholes on the city roads.
One road extends from Ratanlal Nagar-Shastri Chowk-Sachhan Guest House-Kendrachal Colony to Kidwai Nagar Road. Another road stretches from Rocket Tiraha-Meghdoot Trihaa-Bada Churaha-Chunniganj-Govindpuri Pul, up to Barra By-pass. Yet another one starts from Hamirpur road-Deputy Padav-Afeem Kothi to Baradevi Naubasta.
All these roads are in dire condition and need urgent repairs.
KDA will improve its colonies’ roads in Shatabdi Nagar, Jawaharpuram, Kapili and New Transport Nagar.
Two govt departments are expected to spend more than five crores on repair works.
