MP Avasthi, Manager of a Shelter Home in Bhopal, Has been arrested for rape and torture of kids. Last year, Avasthi was accused for rape in another shelter home in Hoshangabad.
Avasthi has been accused of raping a girl for eight years. He is also accused of torturing kids, which caused deaths of three children in his custody.
He is also accused of raping children less than ten years old. Six children have accused Avasthi for raping them, and beating if they refused.
According to Punjab Kesary, alleged Avasthi was managing four hostels in Bhopal. These hostels sheltered handicapped children. One of the victim, who couldn’t speak, complained to District Magistrate in February 2017, but no action was taken by the administration.
On another similar case in Krishna Nagar of Shahdara, an 8 year old was raped by a manned named Jitendra. It is alleged that when the girl tried to resist, Jitendra tied her and stuffed some cloth in hor mouth to stop her screems.
