India: Students like holiday on Teacher's Day

Kanpur: Teacher's Day comes again. The students feel relaxed at this day as one more holiday is added in the list. Away from the routine class, they feel quite at ease. 

It is, of course, a day to see the teacher's contribution in shaping a student's life. 

Prior to September 5, those students who profess to attend the school on this very day prefers to sleep in the morning so as to avoid attending the school. This is because of their overburdened with the homework.

Leave aside the senior students, the junior students find pleasure in the declaration of holiday on a special day. They show much interest in playing with their friends.

Several students accept that it is good to get a holiday and this is available on this day in a whole academic year. 

Teacher's Day is celebrated in the memory of Dr S Radhakrishnan, a brilliant teacher and mentor. He was born on September 5, 1888. In the year 1962, the tradition to observe this day to honour our Vice-President S  Radhakrishnan and the teaching community in general.
