Speaking to right-wing news outlet Arutz Sheva, Edelstein – a member of Netanyahu’s Likud party – claimed that the movement to annex West Bank territory has made significant gains in recent years.

Netanyahu Says Israel Might Launch Another Strike At Lebanon

JERUSALEM, Sept 2 (NNN-MA’AN) – Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that, his country is ready to launch another attack at Hezbollah in Lebanon, after fire exchanges broke out along the Lebanese border.

Netanyahu said, he held consultation with the army’s command, following an anti-tank missile attack launched by Hezbollah earlier.

“We are prepared for any scenario and will decide how to continue, based on further events,” he said, warning Hezbollah not to fire more missiles.

Israel, Hezbollah engage in brief, intense fighting

JERUSALEM (AP) — Hezbollah militants on Sunday fired a barrage of anti-tank missiles into Israel, prompting a reprisal of heavy Israeli artillery fire in a rare burst of fighting between the bitter enemies.

Although the shooting quickly subsided without casualties on either side, the situation remained volatile. The bitter enemies, which fought a monthlong war in 2006, have indicated they do not want to go to war but appeared on a collision course in recent days after a pair of Israeli strikes against Hezbollah. The militant group vowed it would retaliate.

Israel orders extra military forces to the Lebanon border

1 Sep 2019; MEMO: Israel’s military said on Saturday it had ordered extra forces to deploy to its northern command and postponed a training exercise as tensions remained high with Lebanon’s heavily armed Shia movement Hezbollah.

According to a Reuters report, the Israeli army said that over the past week its “ground forces, air, navy and intelligence forces improved their preparedness for various scenarios in the northern command area.”

Netanyahu repeats pledge to annex Israeli settlements in occupied West Bank

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to annex all Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, he said on Sunday, reiterating an election promise made five months ago but again giving no timeframe.

Settlements are one of the most heated issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Palestinians have voiced fears Netanyahu could defy international consensus and move ahead with annexation with possible backing from U.S. President Donald Trump, a close ally.

Israel FM: We can target Iran inside its territory

31 Aug 2019; MEMO: Israel’s Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz has said that Israel is able to strike Iran everywhere, including deep inside its own territory.

In an interview with Israeli newspaper Maariv, Katz said that Israel would strike Iran whenever necessary, regardless of the location of the strike, Shehab news agency reported yesterday.

Israel Foreign Ministry is bankrupt: Official

30 Aug 2019; MEMO: Israel Foreign Ministry is bankrupt, according to one official, quoted in a report by Yedioth Ahronoth.

The report stipulated that the Foreign Ministry’s officials were informed earlier that there was no budget to host delegations or guests from Israel. Thus, official meetings were cancelled, and employees were asked to “come up with solutions.”
