Social media depression; everyone is looking at their feed and comparing their lives to the highlights of other people’s lives. That creates less satisfaction, more sadness and depression.

We curate our lives around this perceived sense of perfection, because we get rewarded in these short term signals; hearts, thumbs up, etc., and we conflate that with value and truth, which in reality is fake brittle popularity, that short-term and that leaves you more vacant and empty. It then forces you into this vicious cycle where you are like; what’s the next thing I need to do now.
