India: Scientists develop aromatic fabric in Kanpur

KANPUR: It was not known that a type of fabric delivering aroma would be developed. It has now been done so blatantly.

Though the scientists have developed a wholly new variety of cloth, the idea behind this fresh concept goes with the medical textiles laboratory of the City's Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre, as was reported.

Its assistant director S V Shukla pointed out that trials were going on to find out how many washes fragrance can truly survive.

It has also been made clear by the scientists that the aromatic clothes would certainly be more comfortable than the normal usual fabric.

How many fragrances are going to be used in the manufacture of the scented fabric? It obviously includes natural vetiver (Khus), Rose, Jasmine (Chameli), and Sandalwood.
